MAINTENANCE:
Most soils are easily cleaned with warm soapy water and repeated clear water rinses. Moderate scrubbing with a medium bristle brush helps loosen the soils from the depressions of embossed surfaces. Laminated & Vinyl table covers can be cleaned by certain commercially available products. Check label on the product to see if recommended. Stubborn Stains may require full strength rubbing alcohol or bleach diluted with water. A soft scrub cleanser can be used if applied gently. Certain household cleansers could cause damage or discoloration to Americo products and should be avoided. Certain stains may become "set" if they are not removed immediately. Certain stains and their remedies are discussed below.

BALLPOINT INK
Ink spots usually permanently stain plastic products. Much of the stain can be removed immediately by wiping with rubbing alcohol.

WIPE SURFACE MILDEW
Wash with a bleach solution of one tablespoon of bleach to one quart of water, then repeat rinses with clear water.

TAR/ASPHALT
Lengthly contact will cause a permanent stain. Dampen cloth with kerosene or mineral spirits and rub gently from outside of stain to center. This will prevent stain from spreading. Rinse with soap and water.

CHEWING GUM, CAR GREASE, SHOE POLISH
Scrape off as much as possible. (ice cubes will harden gum, scraping made easier) Go over lightly with mineral spirits to remove remainder. Shoe polish contains dyes which should be removed immediately or risk permanent staining.

NOTE: Powdered abrasives, steel wool, and industrial strength cleaners are not recommended. They cause dulling of glossy surfaces. Dry cleaning fluids and lacquer solvents are not recommended, they will attack most chemical films and coated fabrics, remove the printed patterns, and/or disturb the surface. Wax should not be used on chemical film and coated fabrics. Many waxes contain dyes, and dyes will stain.
